JEE Main 2027 fee table for one paper by category, India and abroad Fee for one paper (Paper 1, 2A or 2B) per session, for centres in India and outside India.

Fee for one paper (Paper 1, 2A or 2B), per session:

Third gender Rs 1,000 Rs 5,000

The late fee is Rs 500 for every category. Bank processing charges and GST are extra.

Worked example: what does a late form cost?

A General-category boy applies only for Paper 1 at a centre in India.

  1. On time, he pays Rs 1,000 for Session 1.
  2. Say he misses 22 November and applies on 24 November. He pays Rs 1,000 + Rs 500 late fee = Rs 1,500, plus bank processing charges and GST.
  3. If he later also takes Session 2 for Paper 1, he pays the Session 2 fee again at that time.

Apply before 22 November and you save Rs 500.

What documents do you need for the JEE Main 2027 form?

JEE Main 2027 upload sizes for photo, signature and certificates Upload formats and file sizes for the photo, signature and certificates.

Upload Format Size Who needs it
Live photograph Webcam, taken during the form Taken in the form Everyone
Recent passport-size colour photo JPG/JPEG 10 to 200 kB Everyone

Can you apply from outside India?

Yes. Centres outside India exist, at a higher fee. The city list is in Appendix II of the JEE (Main) 2027 Information Bulletin.

What are the most common registration mistakes?

  1. Filling two forms. Only one application is allowed. More than one counts as unfair means and can cancel your result.
  2. Wrong photo. A mask, a coloured background or a face that is too small can cause trouble. Follow the rules above.
  3. Wrong file size. Check each file against the table before you upload.
  4. No Confirmation Page. If you do not see it, your payment may not have gone through. Check before you close the site.
  5. Asking NTA to fix details by email or WhatsApp. NTA does not change details on request by post, email or WhatsApp. Use the correction window only.
  6. Losing your Application Number. You need it for Session 2 too.

NTA publishes the list of fields you can edit when the correction window (27 to 29 November 2026) opens.

How 1-on-1 tutoring helps with JEE Main 2027

To be honest, the form, fee and documents are not maths or science. NTA and its helpline are the right place for those. Asymptode helps with what comes next: the Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Strong basics, like solving quadratic equations by three methods and Newton's three laws, matter a lot.

  • Live 1-on-1 online classes with one dedicated mentor.
  • Your own syllabus and exam dates. Your plan follows your board syllabus and works back from your session dates.
  • Method first. Your mentor watches each step of your working and fixes the method, not just the final answer.
  • Personalised homework with feedback.
  • Short parent updates, so families know how things are going.
  • Every class is recorded, so you can watch it again.

Working with a mentor

How Asymptode can help you prepare

Asymptode teaches maths and science one-to-one, online, from Grade 1 through Grade 12 and for the SAT and AP. A mentor is matched to your child's school year and syllabus, and the class is built around what they get wrong — not around a fixed lesson plan.

  • One mentor, one student, live

Classes are taught one-to-one by a mentor who teaches this subject at your child's school year. They can stop the moment something does not land, and start again from where it broke.

  • The gap gets found, not taught over

Your child works problems in front of their mentor, so a wrong answer is traced back to the idea behind it instead of being marked and left. That is the part reading on your own cannot do.

  • Practice matched to that gap

Work set after a class is written for your child's year and syllabus, and their own mentor approves every sheet before your child sees it.

  • You can see what happened

After each class you can read what was taught, how your child got on, and what to practise next — in your own words, not a mark out of ten.

No score is promised here, and none should be: an exam result depends on the student. What a mentor changes is how quickly a misunderstanding is found and fixed.
